I noted above that, although the overall trend mp3 2 pac of poverty has been downward over a half century, there have been a few lengthy periods where the poverty rate has increased. Obviously we are in one of those periods now, but there was also a four-year period (1990-1993) and a five-year period (1979-1983) when circumstances were similar. We can use your math (comparing the percentage difference in the rate) to compare the three periods, 2001-2004: +12% 1990-1993: +18% 1979-1983: +33% As you can see, the current increase in the poverty rate is quite small when put into this context.
