What I am trying to say here is what has already been said in a number of different ways - President Bush is ultimately responsible for the actions and non-actions concerning The Hurricane Katrina disaster. donna powers He is at the top of the food chain He is supposed to be "The Captain of this Country". I donna powers personally do not feel safe with him at the healm. donna powers Aside from his personal distance from the entire situation, he personally chose and appointed Brown as the Director of FEMA and should be held accountable for placing a man in such an important position that was not qualified to carry out his leadersdhip responsibilties. Also, I do not know how to verify this, however I have heard on relatively good authority that The Mayor of New Orleans is only a figure head, the city has been under the control of FEMA for at least 2 years??
