When people are drowning to death and aid isn't coming fast enough.... we could have jill soloway used a little bit of that famous Bush resolve and decisiveness. They did it on 9/11, standing around on piles of jill soloway rubble. But this disaster caught them totally unprepared and left them unmoved. It is even more disturbing when this time last year, they swore that they were the most competent leaders in the land. And they derided anyone who challenged them. They made a great show of their heroism, and are now being judged by their own standards. Serves 'em right.I wish that the problem were so small that it could be solved by invoking some petty appeal to moral relativism: "How can you prove that the Democrats could have done better?" Well, I can't. But there is nothing wrong with being disappointed with what you've got when things clearly could have been better.
