And full-time employees don't become eligible for 6 months! Crazy to screw around with something so vital as healthcare. |

It's billed 3 months at a time and comes to about $160CDN for each of us. Even though we're not settled there permanently yet, you're required to enroll for the insurance right away and there's a astronomy 3 month waiting period. So I'm paying for insurance that doens't start until April 1st and we won't even be there to use it until July 1st. The price of socialized medicine. Hehe. Yeah, health care isn't entirely free as some outside Canada believe. It may be in other provinces, but not in British Columbia. |
