How else do you propose jim horn to evaluate the trend in the nation since he took office? This sorta reminds me of how, at the heights of the dotcom boom, Republicans were calling it the "Bush recovery," implying that it was all the result of Bush, Sr. policies. Now the shoe's on the other foot and I suppose they'll blame anybody for the current state of affairs. But to some extent, I don't know if economic cycles can be thought of beginning and ending in discrete chronological periods. But if they want to take credit for the boom, they gotta eat crow during the bust. Herbert Hoover wasn't responsible for the Great Depression, but he and his policies did their darnedest to make it worse.
