I found him on a search through iTunes, of Vancouver-related podcasts. He has this seriously born-to-broadcast voice. Thought I was listening to BBC Radio One the first time I heard him. Carla Bruni's album, Quelqu'un m'a dit is also present. It's entirely in French and I don't speak a word of it but she's just amazing. Her voice is just so soothing and lust-filled at the same time. And she's got a fascinating background. She's of Italian descent but her parents moved to France to escape the fascists who were coming to power in Italy at the time. She's also apparently a supermodel though I wasn't aware of it, poor excuse for a homo that I am. |

Most of them by beth lapides chose songs waaaaaay out by beth lapides of their league. And what's with the girl and her smalltown shtick. "...my first spinach salad....my kallll-e-maaar-eee"? Please. This ain't the Oscars, honey, and you aren't Meryl Streep.My money's still on Mandisa. Man that girl has some lungs on her. Other than Brenna and Paris, the rest were like understudies for Liza Minelli impersonators appearing at a $5 cabaret joint. In fact, I think I had one too by beth lapides many cocktails with a few of them at the last karaoke bar on 32nd street we went to.
