If he’s going to besmirch Gates’ philanthropy because Gates is a beneficiary of IP law, then he may as well besmirch himself! I’m sure if music someone bootlegged Palast’s book and sold their own copies without him getting his cut, he’d be all about using IP law to reap his just due. He really should think before he types. Further, to claim that Windows has a monopoly is also ignoring reality in a big way. Linux is hugely popular both as server software, and in music developing countries where MSFT stuff is too expensive.
