Sure didn't act that way to me.For starters, he has a long history of substance abuse. Everything from ETOH to cocaine. He's also homeless. But not homeless the way comics you'd comics normally think of someone homeless. He's extremely overweight and obviously well-fed. Wears foundation! And has a cell phone. He's treating the hospital comics like a hotel. He's on medicaid and awaiting placement in a shelter. But he's turned down every shelter space they've offered him. He claims he wants a shelter exclusively for homosexual men. I neglected to mention he's divorced with three kids. Obviously his mental illness got the best of him at some point early on and it led to the drug abuse, the failure of his marriage, etc. Maybe it all stemmed from being in the closet once upon a time. Who knows. Anyhow, I suspect after spending 12 hours with him that he knows there are no shelters in New York City dedicated exclusively to gay men and he'll continue to extend his length of stay in our hospital as long as possible.He
