Obviously not a run-of-the-mill chest cold, so at 8am on Monday, I walked up ryan bowker the street to ryan bowker the conveniently placed "treat and release" center and saw a doctor. A very pleasant woman at that, who called me things like kiddo and dear, even though she can't be 10 years older than me. One listen to my chest and she asked how many days I had been in the middle of this asthma attack and why didn't I treat ryan bowker it? Huh? I haven't had problems with asthma since I was a child and certainly never this bad. It was usually while exercising I'd notice it, take a puff on my inhaler, and be on my way. Not this time. She had the nurse give me an albuterol treatment via oxygen mask and wait a bit. After another listen, I still sounded like a bad pipe organ. One more treatment. This time, it sounded about 70% cleared. She sent me home with a whole list of prescriptions.
