It's a fake argument, a straw man being used cynically, in concert with the awfulness of the current crisis in the south, to bash Bush. It is, in short, dishonest.No one expected Katrina to intensify to this level. If scientists were expecting global warming to create stronger hurricanes, where the hell were they when Katrina wandered into the Gulf? Why weren't they calling radio and TV stations and NOAA, and other outlets and resources and warning of the potential for massive disaster.
