| I watched all this on TV for two weeks and there were two days toward the end of the first week that you did not see the governor and the mayor a little longer than that. Later figjam I heard he had been in Dallas for 5 of the 12 days. Why were the busses not used that sat in the water and ruined? Why figjam did the governor refuse the president's offer on figjam Sunday night before the storm came ashore on Monday? The buck starts at the bottom, mayor, governor and then on up to the top. The National Guard serves at the pleasure of the governor. Why would she not let the Red Cross come in? They were ready with food, water and etc. and she refused to let them in saying that if they fed them they would not want to leave the SuperDome and she wanted to get them out (after the fact). Let's just take a deep breath and think about this for a while. When we lived down there every year when hurricane season came we heard the same thing as to what would happen if a hurricane came in just right. |
