Mr. Cannon, once you decided you weren't going to write a post about "blue states" not helping "red states", then you would probably have made your point better without mentioning that post you thought about writing at all. You left yourself wide open for attack by your political opponents. Secondly, I have a serious question that I wonder if someone could answer. Did the FY2003 budget for the levee system actually allocate less dollars that the FY2002 budget, or, as is usually the case in Washingtonese when the word "cut" is used, did it not get the amount of increase that was requested? |
