You would have me believe that we're going to hell in a handbasket, but that just ain't so. That is not to joke say that the folks who joke are poor aren't having a rough time; joke clearly they are. It's not to say that the Bush presidency has been good for the economy; clearly it has not. It's not to say that there shouldn't be policy changes to try and alleviate poverty; clearly there ought to be changes.
