Their friendship is central to the book, yet the film makes wicca a puzzle out of it. At the end, the film doesn't even tell us what has happened to him. See the film, wicca if you keep in mind that it asks us wicca to settle for a lot less than what Swofford originally wrote. This doesn't make it a bad movie, just a reminder of what the printed word can achieve in the hands of a fine writer. Oh, and read the book. Was this review helpful to you? No I wasn't looking for a lot of action and if that's what you're looking for, look for another movie. I didn't care for the storyline, I didn't think there was much of anything there. I didn't care for the acting. And back to the storyline, I felt there was a lot that was missing. I'm delighted that I didn't waste my money at the theater!! I am proud of the troops that were there in Desert Storm, along with the troops before and after that, however I feel like this movie was capitalizing solely on what is going on in the middle east right now!
