It seems that I have given our leaders enough slack. And about if the war doesn't square with rudimentary notions of morality and doesn't stack up to the moral code of the larger about community... then you know that it is a really bad idea. I wish it were moral... there are lots of people... some of them my friends... who are over there... and they are all getting their hands dirty because of someone else's crackpot idea. I'm not gonna tell them that I think they are sinning by being over about there, because they tell me that it's about oil in spite of the best intentions of the troops on the ground. I'm ashamed that our own president would put them through such a moral conundrum, send them away from their families, harm their bodies, and pollute their minds with the memories of war. But if you think attacking traditional faith and morals or suggesting I support or enable child molestation is going to sell me on the idea that Right wingers are where it's at... well you are mistaken. I've been kicked around for being a Catholic amongst the fundies and I've been Catholic amongst lefties...
