What's interesting about these posts (not being American) is that the Republicans seem to respond by a. not being able to understand what was actually said (ie misinterpreting that Cannon was actually espousing the view to not help, which pac he clearly did NOT say)b. Reverting to pretty foul language and personal insults.Not very persuasive...From an outsider's (a Brit's) perspective during Hurricane Katrina Bush's government was responsible for two things:- cutting funding to shore up the levees- having pac a sickeningly slow response to the unfolding crisis, partly because the troops pac weren't available as they were causing chaos in IraqIt didn't look like America - it looked like Africa, because yes, most of the people left behind to suffer were black. And if you don't believe that the appallingly slow response was about race, then please explain how a supposedly civilised country can take longer to get aid to its people than developing countries did during the Tsunami.
