She was an amazing woman, raising my grandfather and his 6 brothers and 1 sister alone from 1936 onward.Also got to see my grandfather's brother Marty's grave. He was a cab driver in NYC for most of his life. And there was my grandfather's brother Eddie's grave as well. My aunt Evelyn, Uncle Eddie's wife, passed away in August so the dirt on her side was still relatively fresh and little grass had stupid games grown in yet. My stupid games grandfather who died in 1999 at 85, however, is buried in Florida. Unsure why. Perhaps because it was obvious there stupid games was no room in this cemetary section for him without pre-planning or perhaps, my grandmother would rather have him buried closer to her while she's still alive. That and they've lived in Florida since 1979 so it's been their life for so long. Just as a side note, she turns 90 in June. Relatively good genes in this family where longetivity is concerned.After that, we drove on to Rockville Center where my Uncles and Mother were raised.
