He was found out, however, and the Grail repeatedly (and unsuccessfully) attempted to kill him. Jesse travelled to France to recover Cassidy, believing that they share a bond. He was unwilling to endanger Tulip's life in a rescue attempt, however, and left her while she slept. Jesse rescued Cassidy, but not without incurring Starr's wrath and inadvertantly helping to elevate him to the level of All-Father of the Grail. |
