Marine Anthony Swafford, is local punk music kerby

neo nazi, george w. bush, hip hop, all eyez on me, cole hauser, kerby, faculty staff, insulting jokes, sexy, drowned in sound uk, francs2000, 2 pac song, jane anderson, hiphop, stars, actresses, jarhead(full screen), independent artists, terrorism, laura bush, incest, makaveli script, scholar, branding, Gyllenhall gives a great performance as Swafford, but the star who steals the movie is Jamie Foxx who plays Sargeant Sykes, a Los Angeles native who values the corps more than he values his own life. The movie may not have too many scenes of local punk music action, but there is plenty of drama and emotion nonetheless. This is a movie that is definitely worth seeing, but be forewarned...there is a fairly large amount of sexual humor, nudity, and masturbation local punk music in this film (as odd as that might sound). The performances and the photography in the film go a long way to capturing the time and place of Swofford's story and portraying the particular culture that is specific to the U.S.

Marine Anthony Swafford, kerby is not nearly as bad as previous reviewers have claimed it to be. It is important to note that this movie is NOT attempting to make a statement about warfare - neither for nor against it, and it is not providing a commentary on the current situation in Iraq. Instead, Jarhead puts a movie camera in kerby front of a Marine platoon and then lets the viewer decide for himself or herself. Through Swafford (played by Jake Gyllenhall) and other characters, we are given a glimpse on the emotional toll that life in kerby the armed forces takes on recruits. Being thrown into the midst of a war complicates matters ten times worse. Emotions range from excitement, brotherhood, fear, anger, and alienation. I appreciated the fact that the film tried to get this point across to the viewers.
