I don't believe that the war in Iraq was or is right (at least the corruption and greed after the invasion -didn't mind so much that they got rid of Saddam) but it is fallacious to make the argument that G-d has smited America for that particular insulting jokes sin. Any ratbag can make that argument to support any particular cause that they hold dear. Some have written that G-d is smiting America for supporting the pullout from the Gaza Strip, some are saying G-d is smiting you for ignoring the environment, some are saying it is because there was going to be a gay festival in two days. |
