Holy shit, Amanda! You have a way making complex social assumptions easy to understand through a pithy turn of phrase! Of course, under their terms, they were right. After all, if you are to define women’s interests as opposed to ’society’s interest’ then you necessarily exclude women from that society and thus the statement is reductible to ‘women’s interests are opposed to patriachy’s interests’, which, of course, is true.
