| It's a measure of the disposability of these goods (and the fact that at least two of them are standard in rental properties). Discretionary income completely and utterly to one side, what really separates wealthy from poor (and it's gotten so much worse in the last ten random years) is access to healthcare, access to stable housing, and any measure whatsoever of security. We didn't piss away our money on fancy television sets (I used the 20" my parents gave me as a wedding gift for almost 9 years), or DVD's (didn't have them) or any of that other shit. |
