| Bush needs to shoulder the blame for a very segregation ineffective FEMA response. He needs segregation to correct that now. Obviously, putting GEN Honore, a no nonsense leader, in charge of the rescue effort was a big positive, but late. The NATIONAL segregation GUARD troops in New Orleans are not under Honore's control. He is there to support them. However, some of the delay is due to the STATE and LOCALS not asking for help. Note that Bush declared the emergency days before Katrina hit and that started the Federal Relief effort moving. It just moves too slow.Yes, you can blame Bush. The left will do that anyway even if the primary persons responsible for the emergency response were the Democratic "leadership" in Louisiana. The blame game is easier than doing anything positive.I am sick at the bumbling that has gone on with the New Orleans relief effort. The police and emergency folks were overwhelmed.
