thank you for posting the supposition that this is happening to the people of New Orleans because of poverty and race. I concur, and there would have to be very strong proof for me to change my opinion on that.As internet a matter of fact, I've been making a lot of calls to congressional offices, and internet have said internet just that. I really let Frist's office have it...... I said if he could call the Senate back from recess for a white woman who had been dead for many years, he could do the same for poor, black, LIVE people who were dying now. I said, he *is* "pro-life", isn't he? These people *are* life, and even the babies are dying and need his action NOW.I ended with.... "It really is about race, isn't it?!" I didn't accomplish anything for those poor people, but it felt good to put him on notice.I really encourage all of you to call *your* congresscritters, but also all that you can think of and have time for. I also told Reid's office that I'm tired of empty rhetoric and this helplessness.The
