We saw about 8 different comics perform stand-up sets at the Comedy Cellar--all for free with this email pass. Most of them had previously performed on Comedy Central, amongst other late night talk shows and bullshit resume builders. I'd venture to say 5 out of 8 of the comics were good, and Dave Attell took the cake for my favorite of the night...surprisingly only by a slim margin though. I love how he parses in the most random observations between his main ramblings, and then somehow manages to tie everything together at some point. |
