I don’t have a clear notion of whether or where the boundaries of propriety ought be drawn at Syracuse or elsewhere, but I do think un cabaret there’s a bit of sea change on the distinctions between what’s public or private. Despite what the infamous Dr. Kaplan might want to enlighten us with (without ever seeing the comments himself) this is NOT a free speech issue, as Steve has mentioned in comments above. The Supreme Court has rejected the notion that all speech has is speech without consequence.
