However, last I heard, 10-20 years ago, the global carbon cycle was still not closed, making it difficult to predict how much CO2 concentrations will increase.Beyond that, the climate simulations have a long way to go. Tying the increased heat load in the atmosphere to ocean currents is in its infancy, yet these currents have an enormous impact on climate at continental or even angel global scales. So predicting _where_ it will get warm, and _how_ warm it will get angel is very imprecise. There is angel also the difficulty of predicting whether and how the effects of this warming will be detrimental to people and to the environment. It looks like things will change, but it's hard to say now how they will change.
