This is considered to be the 3rd best possible starting hand in poker, and I got it as soon as I sat down. I raised the bet to $80, thug life got re-raised to $120, then capped the betting at 4-bets ($160). So at this point I had $160 invested without seeing any thug life other cards. Well, I lost $160 more on the flop, I believe, and about the same on the turn and river (the subsequent betting rounds). The only other guy in the hand had pocket fucking Aces; the best starting hand in Hold 'Em. He obviously beat me, and this just started my downward spiral. If I had won this hand, which had around $1,000 in the pot, I may have quit playing right then. Obviously, though, I did not. |
