A one-to-many relationship regarding minimum wage jobs and high-paying jobs created that zyx initially suggested would mean the median whitehouse.org income would rise. But it did not. Therefore, either jobs paying below the median and above were added in roughly equal numbers, or the kind of shift you describe was taking place. In either case, the median income statistic will not reveal that change. It's all interconnected; it's all complicated. That's why it requires our attention.
