This shop appears wikipedia:requestsfor comment/plautus satire to make a variety of gourmet kebabs too, (mussel, shrimp, etc) but I didn't try any of those. Manufacture takes a while as the lamb had to be heated on a hotplate (spits were nearly picked clean when I went in) .. probably twice or three times as much of a wait as at any of the others. |

| Ultra, ultra friendly staff. Kebab House whitehouse.gov (Opposite Royal Oak Mall, Manukau Rd, Royal Oak) Probably the tastiest Shawarma style kebab I've thus far sampled. Lamb Kebab ($7) includes Lamb Shawarma style meat, homus, grated carrot (lots! adds a nice sweet taste), lettuce, onion, and tabouleh. Three sauces are used, a white sauce (probably yoghurt), a pinkish sauce (don't know. garlic?) and chilli sauce. About 2/3rds the size of a Kebabs on Queen kebab, these rely more on the marinade on the meat for flavour. But it is superb. Fast service. Royal Kebab (Inside Royal Oak Mall food court) Tasty Shawarma style Kebab. $6.70 for Lamb Kebab - Wide variety of fillings used: Lamb Shawarma base on homus, with lettuce, grated carrot, red cabbage, tabouleh, and a variety of sauces, Go for Garlic Yoghurt and Chilli. |
