I've run into code deployed by these people and their like in recent days, and it seems Mozilla's code is naming consultants configurable and adaptive enough to work around most of their feeble attempts to ruin people's peaceful internet use. One of their pages attempts to block context menu access by throwing up an alert box saying "Context menu access blocked by naming consultants anti-leech.com"... fortunately Gecko ignores whatever IE-only code they're using and displays the context menu anyway. naming consultants It does seem though that a more rigourous set of protection tools (above and beyond popups) needs to be deployed for people (like myself) who do not wish to be held hostage by such a special breed of amphibious donkey shit. Policies for setting a document's location, using modal dialogs like alert, etc, would be an excellent start, and it seems all within the realm and capability of current Mozilla code.
