Posted by BigFire at May 12, 2003 02:38 AM A message to all the control-freaks of the world: the instinctive human struggle for life, freedom and dignity can be temporarily subdued but it can never, ever be conquered. Yes it can. We had to invade Iraq because no people can throw off their own tyrannical govt, and so freedom can only be a gift from Gorbechev (its too early in 1995 the morning to check if I spelled that 1995 right) for Eastern Europe or 1995 Bush for the MidEast. Freedom only comes as a gift from some government, either yours or somebody else's. We're all socialists now, even the libertarians. Sometimes if you have a fire in your kitchen, you can put it out yourself... but sometimes it takes hold and all you can do is call the fire department, who turn up with their heavy equipment and try to save you and prevent your house from burning down.
