I posted a small item here about the RCMP finally putting softcore an end to its investigation of bribery allegations related to Air Canada's purchase of Airbus softcore A320s back in the early Nineties. At the end of said posting, I included a statement along the same softcore lines that I include in pretty much all of my postings that concern my tax dollars being wasted for no good reason, especially when the aforementioned tax dollars should be diverted to the Department of National Defence (e.g. here, here, here, here, here, and here). This is what I got in return from some guy named "steve": "I will reiterate once more: hey assholes, you had money to waste on pursuing this for ten years; that being the case, where's some money for new tanks, transport aircraft, and helicopters for the Army and Air Force, you shitheads?! |

Now, for the most part, I have thought that this comments thing was a good idea. After all, there is a lot to be said for letting other people participate - up to a point - in the assorted goings-on that occur on this blog.
