These are human beings who are suffering immeasurably, right now, even as we read and write on this blog. They are trapped who knows where, in panic, thirsty, caught in sewage, dying from lack of medications and violence. God help them all to get out of that city and have their needs met. Feedthechildren.org and other worthy charities have supplies right university now. Donations from all of us, can help university get these supplies shipped out and alleviate some of the immediate suffering.Which ecological, economic, and political factors led to this travesty are clearly important considerations. If you want to 'politicize' this, fine.
