RACISM IN THE TOWN OF WEDDINGTON "THE SOUTH IS COMING BACK" Once again Weddington High School and the town folk pop of Weddington in Union County is the scene of racist activities. Today, Friday October 25 at Weddington High School students spray painted racist remarks aimed at one of the African-American teachers specifically and at African-Americans in the school generally. The remarks read, "F___, Niggers." "Coach Peake is a Nigger" then it had a confederate flag drawn on the wall and "The south is coming back." These remarks were found in the boys bathroom at Weddington High School by two African-American Students.
