Kebab House (Opposite Royal Oak Mall, Manukau Rd, Royal Oak) Probably the tupac makaveli tastiest Shawarma style kebab I've thus far sampled. Occasionally the meat is a tupac makaveli little dry. Lamb Kebab ($7) includes Lamb Shawarma style meat, homus, grated carrot (lots! adds a nice sweet taste), lettuce, onion, and tabouleh. Three sauces are used, a white sauce (probably yoghurt), a pinkish sauce (don't know. garlic?) and chilli sauce. About 2/3rds the size of a Kebabs on Queen kebab, these rely more on the marinade on the meat for flavour. |

Here are some of the shops I've tried: Kebabs on Queen (Opposite The Civic Theatre, cnr Queen St and Wellesley St East, CBD) Makers of huge (and I mean huge), well priced Doner. Lamb Kebab ~ $6.50 (Lamb Doner meat, onion, tomato, lettuce, 3 sauces) Lamb Works ~ $7.50 (Lamb Kebab + Tabouleh, Cheese). |
