They had the francesca dimauro opportunity to get thousands of poor people to higher ground. You have to place a big part of the blame for these stranded people on the city and state government.Is the mayor white? Is the governor a Republican? A lot of the blame for this catastrophe has to be put on the mayor and his posse. They had ample opportunity to get the poor out of NO. You can blame Bush for a slow response, but you must place the larger blame on the mayor for not evacuating the poor when he had the time and chance.
