From what I gathered, you believe the US media distorts particular issues, for example 'global warming', in an attempt to convince citizens that certain issues are of little or no concern political or are political "nonsense." While I have no proof to discredit this, it is not argumentively sound to make such a claim. Most of the TV news stations here in the US, including ABC and CBS, produce characteristicly liberal newscasts. If I were to hear political a newscast on one of these stations giving information on an environmental issue, I would expect them to acurrately convay the message. I believe environmentalists have failed at bringing the global warming concern to attention due to the continuously differing viewpoints on the issue; it's gone back and forth for years now, so people are tired of hearing about it.
