All that making abortion illegal does is increase inequality. Americans, like Argentines, have quite tv shows a high tolerance for inequality. And so I think a similar thing will happen in the US if access to abortion becomes more and more restricted or illegal. People will die, women will suffer horrifying injuries, but most of those harmed will be poor, tv shows or minorities, or non-urban — not generally the focus of the media or the public consciousness.
