While disappointed in Cassidy, he was more angry that he had been tricked into thinking that he and naming companies Cassidy shared the same code. While naming companies devising a plan to finally catch up with God and challenge him, Jesse realized that he would be putting Tulip in danger once more. Ashamed that he still couldn't bear the risk of hurting her, he sedated her and left her in a hotel room while he took care of business, knowing this would be the final betrayal and that she naming companies would not forgive him a second time. Jesse met with Cassidy, and they discussed his troubled past.
