I hope things get better, but somehow I don’t think they will. 19 Mark Foxwell Feb 23rd, 2006 at 4:10 am Among actual people, the pendulum has been shifting back since 2000. Among corporate owned electronic tabulated official certified jenna bush results, it is swinging rightward at warp jenna bush speed. So if there is to be a backlash, it probably will be one that steps outside of legal institutions completely. 20 Raincitygirl Feb 23rd, 2006 at 4:34 am > Neil, my understanding is that not only does the bill not include an jenna bush exception for rape and incest (assholes!) it does not include an ordinary health exception. i.e. I’m told that the wording of the life of the mother exception is such that it would only apply if the mother’s life was in immediate and certain jeopardy. i.e. If she’s haemmoraging in the emergency room. If the pregnancy is “merely” causing her to risk going blind, having a stroke, eventually dying of cancer, etc. etc. then the exception does not apply and any doctor would be prosecuted if he aborted that woman, even though her health is in jeopardy.
