Recently, in Australia some teenager burnt attorney job down a church in Melbourne, apparently a huge fan of black and death metal. Now I know people like this aren’t altogether mentally stable to begin with but attorney job it’s pretty crazy how black metal imagery and themes can invoke such actions. Summon seems to have a similarly black metal veneer, do you as a band associate with the attorney job whole black metal anti-Christianity thing? Yeah totally, I hate God and everything it stands for. Fuck Christians and their pussy followers, I can’t stand them. I would burn down all the churches if I could get away with it but I would do it when they were full of people, an empty church is just a building to me, you must take care of the followers also. Just on that stance alone, do you yourselves classify yourselves as black metal? I’ve read that comparison a lot, but I get a more blackened-death-thrash vibe from your music. What is the band’s stance on this? Black metal, Death metal, Thrash Yea we try and do it all, even a little punk, we call it satanic beer metal!!!
