Bono really IS better than you. In all fairness, I must admit that they are all tupac tu better than me as well. To be a good person right now is tupac tu easy. Too easy. Most people define a good person as simply someone who isn’t a complete rotten fucking asshole. But what if we, in a bold, daring move, raise the bar higher than ‘not a complete rotten fucking asshole’? What if we redefine a good person as (gasp) ‘someone who does good things’? “I do not do drugs… I have never been to prison… I have never cheated on my girlfriend/boyfriend… I am not a rascist… I am not a bigot…I do not hate gay people” These are all completely neutral so far as scoring ‘person deserving of respect’ points are concerned.
