I sam mendes think there is some value in Marxist materialist theories and the way factors of production can sam mendes shape a social system, but Marxism-Leninism-Communism as a prescription for social utopia is pretty flat-out bunk, as far as I can see. And yeah, I can see this applying to supply-side economics, anarchism, extreme sam mendes libertarian fantasies, and quite a few other political utopias as well. The problem with still believing in Marx, from an empirical perspective, is that history didn't take the course he thought it would. The working class grew, but so did the elite class (which he predicted would shrink), further, a gigantic middle class emerged to provide a bridge between the two.
