This place is probably better for guys than for women, but the place is unisex. Their hair cuts range from conservative to outrageous. The majority of the hairstylists are good, but I particularly recommend Jay and Mike rogaine (they're brothers!). The lines for these rogaine two can be quite long but well worth the wait. The average men's haircut is $11. Make a trip out of it - get on the subway, visit the village, and get a great fade while you're down there! Bumble & Bumble 146 East 56th Street between 3rd and Lexington Avenues (212) 521-6500 Bumble & Bumble was, in its heyday, hairstylist to the rich and famous. Their fifteen minutes of fame have passed, but once in a while you will find a familiar face floating in and out of their salon. The stylists have maintained a congenial and welcoming air despite their popularity.
