So, in the completely strawman example of there being 100,000 new jobs but where queer as folk 80,000 people become unemployed, and 30,000 more who were unemployed lose benefits, there isn't a true increase of 100,000 jobs, nor 20,000. It's really -10,000, but the calculations won't reflect that. Two things to consider: Since real median income and employment rate was unchanged from 2003 to 2004, the typical 2 pac lyric compensation of jobs gained compares 2 pac lyric with the typical compensation from jobs lost. In other words, for every new minimum wage job created there were many more high-paying jobs created. Of the 2.2 million new jobs, most of the gain (roughly 80%) had no effect on the unemployment rate.
