Why would you want to wear a shirt that says my heritage is comprised of a bunch of losers who got their butts soundly whipped, one of the most complete losses in a war I can think of? I tend to want to associate with winners. Read the history again, carefully. The South didn't get their butts "soundly whipped" by anyone's yardstick - most of the intense battles were won by Southern forces against a better trained (and superior numbered) Union Army at that, so whaddya mean, "complete losses"? Add to the fact that the build-up of Union forces was decades (and untold dollars in Southern tariffs) in the making and I don't think the hastily-formed Confederate Army did too badly.
