A crucial plot point created by the two writers of B&T is the threat of military school faced by Ted, sending the message that, without the proper background of world history in everyone’s life, a brainless droney military life (or at least some sort of government job) is sure to befall each and every human being, leaving the world a hopeless plane of gray eternity. |
