| I raised the bet to $80, got re-raised to $120, then capped the betting at 4-bets ($160). So at this point I had $160 invested without seeing any other cards. Well, I lost $160 more on movie and video reviews the flop, I believe, and about the same on the turn and river (the subsequent betting rounds). The only other guy in the hand had pocket fucking Aces; the best starting movie and video reviews hand in Hold 'Em. He obviously beat me, and this just started my downward spiral. If I had won this hand, which had around $1,000 movie and video reviews in the pot, I may have quit playing right then. Obviously, though, I did not. I continued to play for the rest of the day, and got as discouraged, angry, and depressed, as I can ever remember being in my entire life. I punched my wall several times, as well as a brand new vaccum that I had just bought, that was still in the box. |
